Living Love Playful Art Classes
The emphasis of these classes is to relax the nervous system through playful creativity.
I have studied yoga and meditation for over 16 years. Through the practice of looking within myself, I have come to realize that the most healing thing we can do is learn how to channel our creative energy into play.
More often than not, we channel our creative energy into anxious thought patterns, but we have the power to redirect that energy. I hope these classes empower you to practice that.
You do not need any experience to attend these classes. All you need is a willingness to try something new.

All levels of artists are welcome.
The supplies for class are listed below.

Classes are 75 minutes. I offer an additional 15 minutes at the end for everyone to work on their creations.

​1) Coloring Medium
You can use any medium that you like — watercolor paints*, watercolor pencils*, gouache*, colored pencils, crayons, markers, oil pastels, acrylic markers, or acrylic paints*. You might even enjoy using a combination of some of these!
2) Paper
If you use colored pencils, crayons, markers, or oil pastels, a mixed media paper would work well.

If you use watercolor, watercolor pencils, or gouache, I recommend hot or cold-press watercolor paper that is 90lb -140lb.
​
If you use acrylic paint or acrylic markers, I recommend thick card stock or canvas paper.
3) A Pencil and Eraser

5) A willingness to play!
** If you are using watercolor, gouache, or acrylic paints, you will also need: **
1) A cup of clean water
2) Paper towels

Make sure that you have a nice flat area to work on - a desk, a table, or a clipboard/drawing board.
Please intend to join class from a PC or Laptop. Bigger screens offer the best viewing experience. ​

Ohuhu Alcohol-Based Markers
I used these to color the illustrations of The Sun Is Shining. They have really vibrant , smooth colors and are blend-able, which is really fun:
JusArt Acrylic Paint Markers
These are really great acrylic markers. Vibrant colors and the paint flows out easily. They have brush tips, which are great for fine details and/or calligraphy:
Prisma Color Colored Pencils
These colored pencils have soft cores which makes them blend more easily. I have used them for years and really enjoy them:
artPOP! Watercolor Pencils
I've used these watercolor pencils for a few years. The colors are very vibrant and they blend easily when you add water:
LifeLine Scented Colored Pencils
These are just fun. All the colors are scented, and it adds extra sensory enjoyment while playfully creating:
Fantasia Watercolor Pencils
This is another set of watercolor pencils that I own and enjoy. They are full-bodied colors and blend easily when you add water:
Pentel Mechanical Pencil with Twist Eraser
I have used this pencil for over 20 years. It is by far my favorite. I use the .9mm lead, but they have .7mm and .5mm sizes, too, if you prefer lighter lead:
